How it works
1. Assess your energy usage and current solar system's production in case you already have one
After you give us your details, a couple of electricity bills and some pictures of the desired location for the battery or batteries, we begin by analysing your electricity consumption and, if you already have solar panels, the production and export data of your existing system. This allows us to determine whether battery storage is suitable for your home and to size the battery correctly based on your real usage patterns, solar generation, and tariff structure.
2. Issue a simple and summarized technical and financial proposal via email
We then send you a clear proposal by email, which includes:
The recommended battery capacity plus its configuration and characteristics
The final, all-inclusive project price
Estimated annual savings and the expected payback period
As part of the design, we account for the smart charging strategy for your battery. This allows it to charge not only from your solar production, but also during off-peak night-time hours when electricity prices are lowest, so you can use low-cost stored energy throughout the day.
This approach is particularly valuable during the winter months in Ireland, when solar generation is limited. To protect battery health and maximise lifespan, we avoid charging the battery to its full capacity unnecessarily during this period. Instead, we carefully manage charge levels so the battery operates within optimal limits, ensuring an expected service life of at least twice the warranty period—typically around 20 years, as we only use batteries with warranties of 10 years or more.
3. Conditional In-person site survey (€100 deposit, fully refundable)
In most cases, an in-person site survey is not required. Based on the information and photos you provide, we can usually design the system remotely.
However, if the available space or installation conditions are unclear, we may recommend a short site visit to take precise measurements and confirm installation feasibility.
4. Installation scheduling and execution planning (25% fully refundable deposit)
Once the installation deposit is received, we schedule with you an installation date and produce a clear, final installation report and execution plan so that the installation teams know exactly what needs to be done, minimizing on-site uncertainty and ensuring an efficient installation process.
5. Installation, commissioning, and compliance
On the installation date, the system is installed, electrically tested, and commissioned. We will provide the devices' documentation, certificates and warranties.
While our default approach is to manage the entire process for you to ensure everything runs smoothly, we actively encourage customers who want to be hands-on. If you’d like explanations, documentation, or to take control of any part of the process, just ask, we’ll always happy to support a DIY approach.
