How it works
1. We assess your current solar system and roof capacity
After you share your details, we begin by analysing your existing solar setup, roof layout, and electricity usage to determine how many additional panels your home can support. Using high‑resolution satellite and street‑level imagery from Google and Microsoft, we evaluate unused roof space, shading, and structural suitability before any site visit. This allows us to design an accurate expansion that integrates seamlessly with your current system.
2. Issue a simple and summarized technical and financial proposal via email
Your proposal clearly outlines:
Satellite imagery showing the proposed additional panels on your roof
The final, all‑inclusive project price
Updated annual energy savings and revised payback period
The characteristics and number of new panels and any required electrical components
This gives you a transparent view of how the upgrade improves your system’s performance and long‑term savings.
3. In‑person site survey (€100 deposit, fully refundable)
Once the deposit is paid, we carry out a detailed on ‑site assessment. We inspect your existing solar system, verify roof conditions, confirm cable routes, and ensure compatibility with your inverter and electrical setup. We also gather all required information to update your SEAI grant application if applicable. This survey allows us to produce a precise installation plan, including:
Final panel layout and mounting details
Cable routing and containment paths
Integration with your existing inverter or the need for an upgrade
Any adjustments required to ensure full compliance with current standards
4. Installation scheduling and execution planning (30% fully refundable deposit)
After receiving the installation deposit, we schedule your upgrade and prepare a clear, final installation report. This ensures the electricians and roofers know exactly what needs to be done, minimising on‑site uncertainty and guaranteeing a smooth, efficient installation.
5. Installation, commissioning, and compliance
On the installation day, we add the new panels, complete all electrical works, and fully integrate the additions with your existing system. The upgraded system is then tested, commissioned, and certified. We arrange any required BER updates, provide all documentation and warranties, and complete a technical handover so you understand the improvements made.
6. Post‑installation performance validation and long‑term care
After a year, we review the performance of your expanded system and compare it against the updated design estimates. Based on this data, we advise when panel cleaning is recommended (usually every 1.5–2.5 years). We can arrange a professional cleaning service or guide you through a safe DIY approach, including the equipment you may need.
A flexible, customer‑led approach
While we manage the full process to ensure everything runs smoothly, we also welcome customers who prefer to be hands‑on. If you want deeper explanations, technical documentation, or to take control of any part of the process, just let us know — we’re always happy to support a DIY‑friendly approach.
