How it works
1. Assess your roof and energy usage
After you give us your details, we begin by analysing your roof layout and electricity consumption to determine the optimal solar system size. This assessment is carried out using high-resolution satellite and street-level imagery from Google and Microsoft, allowing us to design an accurate system before any site visit.
2. Issue a simple and summarized technical and financial proposal via email
The proposal includes:
- Satellite imagery showing the proposed solar PV system layout on your roof
- The final, all-inclusive project price
- Estimated annual energy savings and the expected investment payback period
- The characteristics and number of the essential devices to be installed
3. In-person site survey (€100 deposit, fully refundable)
Following payment, we conduct a physical site assessment to gather all the important details about your property, collect the necessary data to apply for the SEAI grant on your behalf, and take all necessary photographs. This survey allows us to create a precise installation plan for both electricians and roofers, including:
- Final inverter location
- Cable routing and containment paths
- Integration of the system with your existing electrical supply
4. Installation scheduling and execution planning (25% fully refundable deposit)
Once the installation deposit is received, we schedule with you an installation date and produce a clear, final installation report and execution plan so that the installation teams know exactly what needs to be done, minimizing on-site uncertainty and ensuring an efficient installation process.
5. Installation, commissioning, and compliance
On the installation date, the system is installed, electrically tested, and commissioned. We arrange the BER assessment, provide system documentation, certificates, warranties, and conduct a technical handover.
6. SEAI grant disbursement
Grant funds are released within approximately six weeks post-installation, subject to SEAI processing.
7. Post-installation performance validation and assessment
After a year, we review the system's performance data and compare it against the original design estimates. Based on this analysis, we will determine when panel cleaning is recommended (typically every 1.5–2.5 years). At that point, we can either schedule a professional cleaning service for you or show you how to safely clean the panels yourself, including providing the appropriate equipment if you choose the DIY option.
While our default approach is to manage the entire process for you to ensure everything runs smoothly, we actively encourage customers who want to be hands-on. If you’d like explanations, documentation, or to take control of any part of the process, just ask, we’ll always happy to support a DIY approach.
